A continuing series of courses are offered at the Santa Rosa Junior College, some special programs in the business of wine at Sonoma State and several wineries offer seminars and wine dinners for wine enthusiasts.

• SANTA ROSA JUNIOR COLLEGE The College District operates two campuses in Sonoma County: a large 100+ acre campus in the heart of Santa Rosa, and a 40-acre campus in Petaluma -- select "Wine Studies" under Schedules&Catalogs when the website comes up.
• KENDALL-JACKSON The Kendall-Jackson Wine Club offers seminars open to both members of its Wine Club and other wine enthusiasts and a rich array of events.
• SL CELLARS Food & Wine pairing classes. Monthly schedule posted on the website.
• ST. FRANCIS WINERY The winery offers wine dinners, a guest chef series, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and a range of Wine Clubs with special events for its' Wine Club members.

  • NAPA WINE LIBRARY ASSOCIATION The Napa Valley Wine Library is an alliance devoted to sharing and preserving information about viticulture, enology and wine lore, particularly in the Napa Valley. It presents courses and field seminars in the Napa Valley and a major annual tasting in which over a hundred local wineries participate.

    Sea Ranch Lodge - 2007 Winemakers Dinner Series

    The Sea Ranch Lodge Winemakers Dinner Series highlights a five or four course meal, which Executive Chef James Romeo has paired with premium wines handpicked by the winemakers.

    Receptions begin at 6:00 pm followed by dinner at 6:30 pm for each event. Dinner will be held in our Fireside Room.

    VINQUIRY Seminars

    In addition to offering its services to winemakers as a full service accredited lab, VINQUIRY also conducts seminars and workshops on issues ranging from subjects ranging from detection and control of Brettanomyces to TCA threshold testing to Berry Sensory Analysis to a Mouthfeel Seminar.

    While its main office is in Windsor, CA, VINQUIRY has labs in Napa, Santa Maria and is scheduled in 2007 to conduct seminars in Washington, Oregon, New York and Pennsylvania.

    Vintner's Collective @ Napa, CA

    Vintner's Collective is the first of it's kind in Napa Valley, a multi-winery tasting room that is home to twenty of the most experienced and talented winemakers in the Valley. The man behind Vintner's Collective is Garret Murphy, who dreamed of creating a place where wine lovers could taste the wines of some of the best winemakers in Napa Valley, and where smaller wineries without their own tasting room could showcase their wines and introduce them to consumers. With a little Irish luck and good intuition, the location for Vintner's Collective in the landmark Pfeiffer building made the idea a reality, and current changes and growth in downtown Napa made for good timing.
