Wine lovers will raise their glasses and bidding paddles at the Canadian Opera Company’s 8th Annual Fine Wine Auction on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Crush Wine Bar. Auctioneer Stephen Ranger, of Ritchie’s Auctioneers and Appraisers, returns to lead the live auction, encouraging wine aficionados, fervent collectors and budding oenophiles to either add to their cellars or start a collection with some truly exquisite gems. Guests can also bid quietly in the silent auction that offers a variety of unique and exciting items for everyone to enjoy including several terrific winery tours. This year’s auction features something for every collector including a six-year vertical of outstanding White Burgundies from Dauvissat, celebrated 1991 Napa Cabs from Dominus and Silver Oak in magnum, spectacular First Growths from Bordeaux and an incredible array of fantastic wines from around the world.
