As long-time German Riesling freaks, it doesn’t take much to get us excited. In recent years, we’ve been euphoric as Germany has seen several outstanding vintages. But with the 2005s we have entered another realm of quality that has us bursting with more enthusiasm for this vintage than any other. We’ve tasted enough 2005s to conclude that there is something magical in the finest examples from this vintage. These are the ones we’ll taste on August 7.
