Whether you know a little or a lot about wine, the American Wine School can help you build your wine knowledge. The curriculum begins with the basics: how to taste wine and identify flavors. Classes continue grape-by-grape, country-by-country to give tasters a well-rounded knowledge of wine. Events and travel excursions offer informative and entertaining experiences.

American Wine School Cellar Door, located in Beachwood, Ohio, is an education focused tasting and retail center. Cellar Door is open for tasting every Friday and Saturday evening and is the perfect venue for meetings, private parties and special events

ABOUT US
American Wine School was founded in 2002 by Marianne Frantz. A Certified Wine Educator, Marianne holds a Diploma in Wine and Spirits from the London-based Wine & Spirits Education Trust as well as an Advanced Sommelier certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers.In addition to teaching, Marianne writes wine articles for Cleveland Magazine, TheWineBuzz, City Visitor and is a contributing writer for the national publication Restaurant Hospitality. She has produced culinary events across the US and in France with the world's top chefs and winemakers. Guest lectures at the school include noted winemakers, wine writers and visiting Master Sommeliers.
