  • Catalan Festival

Spain used to be a cluster of different kingdoms— Aragon and Catalonia, Valencia, Castilla—each with its own language, culture, heritage and royal family. Eventually, by marriage or conquest, it all became one country. In the northeast of Spain, Catalonia has kind of an urban, yet Mediterranean feel to it. A lot of artists and entrepreneurs come from there as opposed to other regions that are more agricultural. Barcelona, Catalonia's enchanted city, is often referred to as Paris with palm trees.

Whether you're coming for the first time or to relive happy memories, you'll find plenty to do at the festival. In addition to the dancing, music, and entertainment, guests at our 2006 Catalan Festival were able to sample the cuisine of B 44 Catalan Bistro, Wild Thyme, Ramblas Tapas Bar, Thirsty Bear, Park Ave. Catering, Avance Tapas Bar, The Java Wagon, and Sabor of Spain Vinoteca.

The date for our 2007 event is July 21st and 22nd. Tickets will go on sale January 2nd 2007.
