"Greetings from Nantucket! I am very pleased to announce the program for the celebration of the twinning of Nantucket and Beaune, to be held in Beaune from October 19-22, 2006. This promises to be a great event filled with bonhomie and amitie, superlative cuisine and wine, and a rather intensive immersion into the history and culture of Beaune. In some respects, this can be considered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

  • More specifics are listed below. To make reservations contact Dennis Toner by email: winetone@nantucket.net or through his office at 508-226-1128

"We have put together three different packages for those friends who are interested. The packages do not include travel and lodging. When you sign up for a package, we will send you a check-off sheet so that you can indicate the specific events you want to attend. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

"Package A: The program with dinners, lunches, and brunch: $600/ person

"Package B: The program with dinners (no lunches or brunch): $390/ person

"Package C: The program with lunches and brunch (no dinners): $225/person

"Obviously, availability is limited, and I expect that the event will sell out quickly. We must send the final list of attendees to the mayor by September 15th.

"Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Checks can be made payable to “Batard et Fils Imports”, and mailed to PO Box 306, Nantucket, MA 02554. They are nonrefundable.
