    See why all of Texas is celebrating along the "Texas Wine Month Passport Trail". Celebrate new releases or revisit old favorites still available as autumn begins in the Texas Wine Country. Purchase your passport and receive the year's unique collectors' t-shirt. Kick off weekend is the first weekend of the month but all month the passport is honored. Visit ten of the sixteen wineries and become eligible for the drawing.

    "Greetings from Nantucket! I am very pleased to announce the program for the celebration of the twinning of Nantucket and Beaune, to be held in Beaune from October 19-22, 2006. This promises to be a great event filled with bonhomie and amitie, superlative cuisine and wine, and a rather intensive immersion into the history and culture of Beaune.     Oct. 21 Event to Feature Winemakers from Top Small Producers

    Just before the start of the 2006 holiday season, K&L Wine Merchants in San Francisco will offer champagne lovers the opportunity to taste dozens of champagnes from boutique producers and top houses, and to meet the proprietors behind some of the finest “grower” champagne houses at a special tasting event. The K&L Fête du Champagne will be held Saturday, October 21, in San Francisco, from 1-4pm and will benefit the Friends of St. Francis Childcare Center in San Francisco through a silent auction.

On Saturday, October 21, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa will make no exceptions to these tried and true traditions with the launch of its annual Blessing of the Wines Harvest Festival, complete with grape stomping and tractor rides through the vineyards making it a grand celebration for the entire family. Authentic Italian music and dance will be performed by Roman Holiday, the original cast from the original cast that performed in the grape stomp scene of 20th Century Fox's popular film, A WALK IN THE CLOUDS.
