NEW FOCUS FOR WineEvents-Calendar
A pile-up of 13,000 emails in my in-box made it obvious that keeping current the 'EventsCalendar' part of the WineEvents-Calendar was a bit too ambitious an undertaking to maintain as a personal muse. While the fact that a million users a year have checked to use the Calendar content of the WE-Calendar suggests the site does serve a need, it allowed no time for the original writing and commentary that will now be the focus of this 'BLOG' section of the site, titled A Wine Taster's Diary.
WineEvents-Calendar will continue to provide live linkage to major consumer and trade events as well as to the websites offering classes, tastings, dinners and wine-focused travel throughout the world. The new A Wine Taster's Diary section will begin offering personal impressions from the two wine tasting series I'm currently running (mainly flights of long-cellared wines), occasional reports from the six or so wine competitions I judge annually and recommendations regarding the impressive discoveries I find in the showcase events I attend during the course of each year. Also, whenever I discover a website with really useful information I'll add a link to that site. Again, the content of the site will continue to focus on sources for classes, tastings, concerts, cruises, et al and our links to these sites will continue.
