Yadkin Valley Wine Festival / 6th @ Elkin, NC
Visitors to the Festival have come from as far away as Shanghai, China, and advance tickets have been ordered from as far away as Indiana!
The Yadkin Valley Wine Festival is open to the public, including families with children (for your safety and the safety of others, please leave your pets at home). Craft vendor displays and music will take place adjacent to the wine tasting area. There will be a roving Bacchus, face painting, "Juggles The Clown," a grape stomp and other activities for the youngsters.
Entertainment for the 2007 Festival will commence at 11:00a.m. with music from the 60's and 70's by "Skipper's Wheel." At 2:00p.m. there will be a grape stomp for the kids in attendance, plus other special events. At 3:00p.m. headliner group "The Catalinas" will perform beach music favorites until the 6:00p.m. festival close. The event is held in Yadkin Municipal Park.
Food and non-wine beverages will be available for purchase from selected vendors. Wine tasters must be at least 21 years of age (all tasters will be required to show positive photographic identification) to obtain a tasting wristband and Yadkin Valley Wine Festival engraved wine glass. Picnic tables are available for vendor-purchased food, there is plenty of lawn space for blankets, and bleacher seating is located in front of the bandstand. You may also purchase and check your wine at our wine-check area and have it held securely until you are ready to leave the festival.

There are over twenty wineries in the Yadkin Valley, including Allison Oaks, Black Wolf, Brushy Mountain, Buck Shoals, Childress, Elkin Creek, Flint Hill, Grassy Creek, Hanover Park, Lauren Gray, Old North State, Raffaldini, RagApple Lassie, Stony Knoll and Windy Gap. As these wineries confirm their attendance, they will be moved up to the "Confirmed" section.
