Garden State Holiday Wine Trail Weekend @ New Jersey wineries, NJ
It has been a great year for New Jersey wineries, with dozens of Gold medals won at prestigious national and international wine competitions, with the opening of new wineries, with the continued recognition of New Jersey as the fifth largest wine producing state in the country and, to top it all off -- an outstanding harvest. To celebrate, New Jersey wineries will be holding a Holiday Wine Trail Weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 24th, 25th, & 26th, from Noon to 5:00 p.m. and all are invited to attend.
The weekend will offer visitors a chance to learn more about wine, wine tasting, and wine making; as well as the opportunity to stock up on award-winning wines for the holidays. Participating wineries will offer wine cellar tours, food that can be sampled with the wines, a gift to all who attend, and more. The event is free at all but two wineries and takes place on New Jersey’s Wine Trails, which are day trips to several wineries.
Participating wineries include:
» Alba Vineyard, Village of Finesville - $5 fee
» Amalthea Cellars, Atco
» Amwell Valley Vineyard, Ringoes
» Bellview Winery, Landisville
» Cape May Winery, Cape May
» Cream Ridge Winery, Cream Ridge
» DiMatteo Winery, Hammonton
» Four JGs Winery, Colts Neck
» Four Sisters Winery, Belvidere
» Heritage Vineyards of Richwood, Richwood
» Hopewell Valley Vineyards, Pennington

» Sylvin Farms Winery, Germania, NJ
» Tomasello Winery, Hammonton
» Unionville Vineyards, Ringoes

New Jersey’s wineries are located in some of the most beautiful areas of the state. In addition to the gorgeous scenery, the wineries themselves are lovely as well -- many in old stone buildings or converted dairy barns. Add to this the acres and acres of grape vines planted on sunny hills and, perhaps most important, great award-winning wine tasting, and you have the makings for a great day trip.
